THE BIRTH OF PRAY 180 FOR 180
In 1998, during morning prayer and meditation for America, the vision for Pray 180 for 180 was given. In a state of reverential awe, the vision was written down, knowing it was for an appointed time yet to come. Though it tarried for nearly two decades, it has been birthed for such a time as this.
AMERICA: A NATION IN CRISIS
The pillars of American culture are all under attack. Family, Church, Education, Business, Government, Media and Arts / Entertainment. Everyday we are fighting legal battles over the definition of marriage, the freedom of religion and speech, for Christ followers to keep their jobs or small businesses, for our children’s education, and against government overreach in every area of our lives.
The state of our nation is one of unrest. It seems every day brings more unsettling news. People say they are expecting something to happen, they just don’t know what it is. Serious people are asking, “If things are this bad today, what will the future be like for the nation, my children and grandchildren?”
If we look at current world events through the lens of scripture, then we can clearly see the disasters — be they environmental, social, financial or spiritual — are all warnings from God that the end of human history is near.
Dr. Billy Graham has stated, “There is but one power available to redeem the course of events, and that is the power of prayer by God-fearing, Christ-believing people.”
